Why engage my services?

I am a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP which is the largest professional body of counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK.

I bring experience from a range of educational and care settings which enables me to provide a service that is both compassionate and knowledgeable. I aim to get to the heart of your concerns as quickly as possible and facilitate long term change.

I am an Integrative Counsellor using various approaches e.g. person-centred, CBT, TA & psychodynamic.

Anxiety and Depression

Maybe you are feeling anxious, cut off or unmotivated? Anxiety can lead to feelings of low self-worth, fear and depression.  Sometimes current issues can stir up feelings from the past that may have been hidden for years but prevent us from living fulfilled lives. By offering you a safe space where you will be heard in confidence and without judgement, we will identify and unlock these feelings to help you find relief from your distress and emotional disconnection.

Relationship Concerns

There are a myriad of complex reasons why some of us struggle with relationships or experience family dysfunction. Many of our current problems are buried in childhood experiences which affect our thoughts and patterns of behaviour in the present day. I can offer you a safe place to explore your feelings and will support you every step of the way to become your authentic self.

Bereavement, Grief and Loss

All losses leave us with complex emotions.  You may be feeling unhappy and overwhelmed, maybe you have some regrets, or are feeling stuck?  Together we can explore the concerns that you choose to bring to the session.

Addictions

Addictive behaviours can be crippling. My aim is to help you understand patterns in your behaviour and why certain life experiences can leave us feeling out of control, helpless and confused. I can help you to start to lead the life you want without your addictive behaviours holding you back.

PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder is an anxiety disorder caused by a stressful, distressing or frightening experience or incident or period of time from the past.  Anyone, at any age, can be affected by trauma and the symptoms are often physical and emotional as well as psychological.
